Meet Dr. Dan Fitzsimons
Dr. Dan Fitzsimons brings decades of leadership experience across military, business, and ministry contexts to the work of church safety and protection. Since 2012, he has focused on the active and intentional protection of houses of worship and mission environments—equipping churches to prepare wisely while preserving their mission and witness.
His expertise spans both tactical and relational domains, including close protection, team-based security, de-escalation, response planning, and emergency medical readiness. He has trained leaders and teams in diverse environments, helping them build systems that are disciplined, scalable, and aligned with the unique dynamics of ministry.
Dr. Fitzsimons also works closely with church leadership—pastors, elders, and presbyteries—guiding them through risk mitigation, governance, and the theological foundations of safety as a ministry of peacemaking.
His approach is shaped by a clear conviction: the call to protect the Church is not merely operational—it is vocational. It requires courage (Valor), discernment (Vigilance), and a deep sense of calling (Vocation) to steward the people and places entrusted to God’s care.
